Elad Granot, Ph.D., Brings More Than 25 Years of Military, Business and Higher Education Leadership Experience to AV
UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, OHIO – AV today announced that Elad Granot, Ph.D. has been named Dean of the John M. and Mary Jo Boler College of Business, effective May 31, 2022. Dr. Granot most recently served as Dean of Ashland University’s Dauch College of Business and Economics and Professor of Marketing.

Prior to leading Ashland University's Business College, Dr. Granot’s academic appointments included Dean of the College of Business Administration and Professor of Marketing at Rider University in Princeton, New Jersey, Assistant Dean – MBA Programs at Cleveland State University’s Monte Ahuja College of Business in Cleveland, Ohio; and Special Assistant to the Provost for eLearning Development at Cleveland State University.

Dr. Granot served as an officer in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) prior to beginning his international business career in 1994 as a sales manager for a US based freight forwarding company. He later established his marketing and strategy consulting practice. In 1998, he was recruited to be vice president of marketing for Israel’s largest private education company, later acquired by the Washington Post group. In 2000, Dr. Granot was named CMO of KPMG in Tel Aviv, a position he held until taking over as CEO of a large media production company.
Dr. Granot is an advisor to a $450 Million Venture Capital fund, and is the founder and managing member of a boutique venture capital fund dedicated to early-stage technology. He serves on the board of OhioX and previously served on the boards of the Cleveland Jewish News, Jewish Family & Children’s Service of Greater Mercer County, the Philadelphia-Israel Chamber of Commerce, the Northeast Ohio Council on Higher Education, Engage! Cleveland, Blockland Cleveland, and LaunchHouse. He also served as the chair of AACSB’s new deans affinity group.
Dr. Granot earned his Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst; a Master of Science in Management and Marketing from Boston University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Tel Aviv University.
The Boler College of Business maintains dual AACSB accreditation in business and accounting, a distinction earned by only 5 percent of institutions in the United States. The Boler College of Business offers seven undergraduate academic programs (Accountancy, Economics, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Management and Human Resources, Marketing, and International Business with Language and Culture) and five graduate academic programs (Online MBA, Emerging Leader MBA, Professional MBA, MS in Accountancy, and MS in Innovation and Entrepreneurship).
